Each character is engraved in the exact position selected in the customization interface. All messages are reviewed prior to production and must comply with the Pencestry Engraving Policy.
Lead time depends on current order volume. In most cases, orders ship within 5–7 business days after purchase. During peak demand, this may extend.
We encourage messages that are personal, meaningful, and timeless in nature. Content that conflicts with the long-term heirloom intent of the design may be declined.
If you notice an error after placing your order, please reach out as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to accommodate changes within 24 hours, as long as engraving has not yet started.
Because each personalized pen is custom engraved, personalized orders are final sale. Non-personalized pens may be returned in unused condition according to our return policy.

This pen is designed to feel substantial in hand and to carry presence for signatures, correspondence, and special occasions. While it is fully capable of daily use, prolonged writing sessions depend on personal preference and writing style.
Bronze develops a natural patina over time as it reacts with air and skin oils, creating a warmer, darker tone unique to each pen. It may also leave a temporary metallic scent on the hands and has natural antibacterial properties.
Stainless steel maintains a crisp, silver finish and does not react with air or skin oils, offering a more consistent, timeless appearance.
No. Bronze and stainless steel were selected for their durability and toughness. The heart pattern is deeply engraved, with letters cut further into each heart. Normal use will not wear down the engraving.
Pens are designed, machined, engraved, and hand-finished in Miami, Florida.
Raw material is currently sourced through established U.S. industrial suppliers. While the metal itself is not yet domestic in origin, we are working toward sourcing U.S.-made stock as the business grows.
We stand behind the craftsmanship of every Pencestry pen. If your pen experiences a defect in materials or workmanship under normal use, we will repair or replace it at our discretion.
The bolt-action mechanism uses 316 stainless steel internal components designed for long-term reliability. With normal use, the mechanism is built to provide years of smooth operation.
The pen is built for durability, but basic care will preserve its finish and feel:
- Avoid dropping or striking against hard surfaces
- Do not leave outdoors for extended periods
- Use a soft toothbrush to gently clean engraved areas
- Apply a small amount of lubricant to threads and the slider occasionally for smooth operation
